School Uniform Policy
At Frodsham CE Primary School we recognise that school uniform plays a valuable role in contributing to the ethos of the school. Having an identifiable uniform enables all children to feel that they belong to our school family and that they are proud to attend Frodsham CE. It helps all children to feel welcome at the school, encouraging both a positive identity and good behaviour. Our uniform reflects the high standards we strive for and above all, we believe that school uniform supports effective teaching and learning.
We expect children to dress smartly and attend school in the correct uniform. The expectation is that children must wear either items with our school logo or the school tie.
¨ Red crewneck or V-neck sweatshirt or cardigan with school logo
¨ Red knitted V-neck jumper or cardigan with school logo
¨ White polo shirt with school logo
¨ White shirt or blouse with school tie
¨ Optional red fleece or jacket with school logo
¨ Grey skirt, pinafore, trousers or shorts
¨ Plain Grey or white socks (no logos or patterns) or grey or red tights
¨ Appropriate black polishable shoes (no trainers, boots, sandals or shoes with heels)
¨ Red Gingham checked dress (summer)
PE Kit
¨ White T shirt with school logo
¨ Red shorts
¨ Plimsolls (indoor)
¨ Trainers (outdoor)
¨ Plain dark jogging bottoms (winter)
Please label all items with your child's name.
All long hair must be tied back and hair accessories must be discreet. Hairstyles should be appropriate for school at all times: please note we do not allow extreme styles such as dyed hair or hair cut with lines or patterns.
No jewellery, except small stud earrings and watches, are to be worn.
No make-up or nail varnish must be worn.
Non-Compliance
We expect all children to adhere to our school uniform policy. On rare occasions, if your child does not have the correct item of uniform, please inform the class or head teacher or the office. If a child is wearing an incorrect item, parents will be informed and asked to provide the appropriate school uniform. Sanctions for breeches of this policy are a last resort and the school endeavours to work with families to resolve them in a timely manner.
