Year 1 Penguin Day

Year 1 had a lovely day dressed as penguins, making penguin biscuits and enagaing in penguin craft, even completing a penguin hunt and all before Sam, an ornothologist, came to tell us all about penguins. What a fantastic day.

Team work fun in the forest

Year 1 enjoyed a morning working hard in the forest to complete a range of team activities such as making the longest continuous line, building the tallest structures etc.

In RE we have been making precious things just like God did.

Bee-bot Fun

Year 1 have been busy learning about algorithms and debugging using the Bee-bots.

Fun in the snow

Well we just had to go and enjoy ourselves in all the white stuff that had fallen from the sky!!!

Paper Sculptures

We have begun looking at the work of Samantha Stephenson and have made some paper sculptures of our own.

NSPCC Numbers Day

What an amazing day we have had in Year 1 with numbers. We've written the longest ever number lines onthe playground, played 'snakes and ladders' and 'beetle' by adding two numbers together and finally ended the afternoon wiht a game of 'bingo', yet again using addition sums to find the correct number. It's all been great fun.
